This is a poignant day so green, the color of growth and hope, is a perfect greeting. I love the bottom of the leaves, the way they’re entwined symbolizing, for me anyway, union, support, how nature despite how she sometimes looks. is eternal. Another keeper for the foto file. 🙂
I love that you see all that.
And there is another reason I chose this one for today. The leaves at the top cast a shadow against the fence – dead centre – that I did not see when I took it.
I shall await to see if you see it, my dear Susannah …
And I am so very glad you did. When I chose this photo for today, there was the heart. Then you looked and saw so much more. I love this. And I also thought of one of the towers when I cropped it ever so slightly to remove the bottom rung of the fence.
Photography is great in that we see what we see and we see so much more that we didn’t at first glance.
If you write, you’re a writer. Get a used copy…I’m big into pulp recycling…of The Right to Write, by Julia Cameron. It will open those creative eyes of yours even wider. 🙂
True. This is some sort of vine that intertwined with the fence. Do you see the shadow cast by the leaves at the top? At first glance, looks like a stain on the wood…
This is two pals hanging out, looking forward to the sun and the rain. Both. Which is really the way to go, if you ask me. Be down with all the weather that comes your way and you’ll grow big and strong.
The shoulders rubbing is simpatico. As if they’re saying to each other “We’re the two fucking oddballs in this group so we best stick together to the bloody end!”
Odd is great. It’s the only way to go. Odd is interesting. Odd has flavor. Stick to your ribs flavor.
enjoyed the photo and the comments –
I did not see the heart right away –
but what first caught my attention had to do with the shapes from the fence openings – and then the line and little fuzz –
but the heart matches the vibe of the vine anchoring to the fence – the symbiosis and luv….
Thank you, Yvette.
I didn’t see it either! It’s only when I looked at it with my computer that it popped out at me.
So glad you see what you see and like it!
yeah … I read that a few times in the comments – how you didi not see it right away (jk — hahahah)
—
and it was such a fun pic for a standalone Wednesday post
yes – for sure – and that is the writer in you finding those connections – like the hope in new life – (and that heart which you did not see right away) kidding
thanks – kind of sucky month so far = but one day at a time (nothing major – just in the middle of a change and then still healing up my ribs… – wha… )
I was in a car accident last June – and it was mild – but bruised ribs still interfere with life as normal – the worse is behind me – but it change my summer plans and was better in august 0- then I did too much and had to pull back a bit – not complaining because seriously could have been worse –
but I am so done with a few things right now –
so cheers to better months ahead –
and let us both remember – these experiences = and the waiting – do give us some good stuff to write about- or can enrich it – eh?
🙂
and I was just crafting a what pegman post –
and um, took a rabbit trail in a part 2
and screw it if it is too much (ha – big ha on that)
but it was kind of inspired by out chatting about some of the change we have this month.

God Dale, I didn’t see it. It looks like one of the Towers. WOW!!!!!

How about the big heart shadow?

You know, a photo is very personal, and I saw the tower very clearly. Maybe it overshadowed the heart.

Yes…it’s how books are born. You write something poignant amid other things…lift it like a jewel found in the sand. Yes ma’am.

Absolutely!
And ironically, I wrote about my writing yesterday. I would never have called myself a writer until recently. Funny how life is.

So you see the perfectly-shaped heart that I, at first, thought was a stain in the wood…

B,
What a great comment!
The best way to go through it, I say.
Plus, their shoulders rubbing has caused a heart shadow
Odd is good. 😊

Damn straight.
Yanno I chose this one because today is a day where we all rub shoulders in synpatico brotherly (and sisterly) love.
Odd is the only way to go! It’s what makes us unique!

You said it all, sistah. What better way to serve the memories of those lost.
Odd wins. Always. And when it doesn’t win, it’s too odd to care.
