  1. First of all, I’m a sucker for blue. It truly always stops me in my tracks. And I love how you had her first enter like a plumed 747 before we see that noble beak. Like a preview of a great film. Your eye never ceases to impress me Dale, and it seems to get sharper and sharper as you click away. 🙂

    • Isn’t he a beaut? I have to go back! I realised in the dozen pics I took, not one showed his little cap! Still, I m pleased you enjoyed the colours. Almost looks fake, doesn’t it? I was hoping his wife was about but no… I’d love to see the couple because as we know, the males always get to show off more. Thank you, so glad you see improvement in my shots. 😊

    • Dear Rochelle,

It’s only the second time I see a Wood duck and the first time so close. I was thrilled! I say… You know 😊. Thank you my friend.

      Shalom and lotsa ducky love,

      Dale

  3. A wood duck, right? The males are quite stunning with all those beautiful colors. The female was probably close by but they’re so drab she probably was incognito by comparison. Nice capture-he was showing off nicely for you.

    • That’s right. But there was only another mallard couple in that small lake. I was so hoping to see his wife but no. I shall be retuning this coming weekend and hope she shows. And this time, I’ll get his little cap. Thank you!

Wooden you know it! I would-ish . . of course I wasn’t about to presume you would go this way, but then you took my presumption and doubled down on it with this one. You are a very sneaky chica, you know that?

        • I shall have to share him on my blog – can’t use him for WW on Sorryless again 😉
And that is to tell you that oh boy, did I ever get a good one of him! 😉

          • Oh, I will, fear not!

And, no rush because I know you always get around to going back 😉 Yesterday’s Walktober includes a fantastic mural of The Tragically Hip 😉

          • I’m the worst! I’m always playing catch up with the blog pals. I remember the old days when I had 10 followers. No probs staying current then.
Oh Thunder! I just finished the new Art Gown. I can hardly wait to shoot her. Now, when’s that partially sunny day?
Did a pencil sketch of AGM Dale, for the next episode, but it will wait until I post the new Art Gown!
It will be dedicated to Tim!

          • You’re not. I’m as bad. I just can’t for the life of me keep up. I find myself so far behind, I have to flush my inbox so I can’t see what I’m missing! Of course, there are those whom I will keep… shhhh… you’re one of them!
Oh yes! I can’t way to see! Sunny days are not go be found in the south shore of Montreal for the next few days. Maybe you’ll get ’em.
Yaya! And Tim deserves any dedication you make!
