How pretty. It reminds me of winter as a kid. You didn’t really mind it then since, it was part of life you were accustomed to. Now it feels like an intruder throwing a wrench in one’s day.
The other thing I really love, is Nature’s bouquet you captured so well. It’s as if she’s saying, don’t worry, remember, seasons change. You’re her best representative Dale. 🙂
It has been particularly cold – including the day this was taken. Cold and grey and yucky and so, this little pop of papery hydrangea called me. All the way to my backyard 🤭. So glad you enjoy.
Good morning, Frank.
Indeed these lovely little hydrangea go from the purest white, to the softest pink to this papery beige. I love it in all its colours.
You’ve gone and pulled off a double-header, a twin-bill kiss of a capture. And the top pic FEELS like two photographs in one. The second pic looks like a heart, framed the snowy branches of the tree. And I can’t figure which one I love more. So in cases like this, I go to the judges table to decide, and of course they say . .
I’ve done did that! The top one, I feel, has an almost ethereal feel to it. And yay! You see the heart in the second one. As happens to me rather often, I could not make up my mind so…
Which is in the Melville file, for its bold, beautiful brevity. It really packs a wallop, that word ethereal. And yes, it’s the perfect description for the first photograph.

I love the “papery-ness” of hydrangeas in winter. I am trying to convince myself that I still love winter. I’m not doing so well, frankly 😉
I am glad you like my flowers in winter. I shall keep on trying to represent Mother Nature as best I can 🙂

I look at photographs because I love them so, and yours are never not impressive and stirring. You seem to zoom right in to the heart of the matter. 🙂

That is why I love taking photos and sharing them. If they stir something in you, then I’ve succeeded.

Dear Dale,
This picture do make me shiver. 😉 Well-captured changing of the seasons catching the flowers off guard. As always you have things in focus.
Shalom and lotsa warm hugs,
Rochelle

I see a story of a what once was blue, pink, or white – gone – dead – but given time, it returns alive, well, and beautiful. Good morning, Dale.

It’s so funny… I left a comment using the word wallop not an hour ago!
I love the word ethereal – the saying, the writing and the image it evokes.
Apparently only to you and me (and I’m good with that 😉 )
Both!

Another Melville bound word now! Just like that.
It’s something that should be etched in stained glass if you ask me. It exists inside that velvety space between heaven and earth, touching both.
Me two.
BOTH!

We rock this word thing…
Yes. I love that idea. Then ethereal becomes liminal.
Ya baby!
Cheers to BOTH!

Liminal . . it’s like a mini-skirt of a word. Sexy and spare and Oooh meeting La La.
YAYA!
That’s a deal.

The French version is so much better, in every way.
We really are. The Nobel Peace Prize committee should be modeling their candidates after us, I tell you.
