The look of indignancy on his face is priceless. It’s a prime candidate for a meme when you really think about it. And yeah, I can understand how he might be miffed at the idea that you weren’t looking out for him. These little peeps tend to occupy a place as if they own it. Maybe they were army commanders in their past lives.
Meanwhile, on the other end of the equation, you’ve got peace and love. Not interested in owning a thing, just grateful to borrow some of nature’s goodness.
When you really think about this supposedly light and airy WW post, it seems pretty political. But as an American, I just can’t relate to that, at all. π
Central casting is interested in knowing if he has a SAG card. The guy is definitely a natural in front of the camera.
Nature was so at peace and then . . . WAR! But hey, you gave nature a nice head start and we, the world, are all the better for it. Because you know what I ain’t seen much of so far this year? Bees! After bitching about them my entire life, now I’m concerned.
Good question. I’ll have to see if he has an agent, yet.
Yes… Damn war. I do try to bring some nice and soft when I can and I know! I kept all those damn dandelions for them and saw nary a one! I am extremely concerned.
No, I know what you mean. I’m not afraid of bees and know that any connection we would make would be purely accidental. I was happy to see a few in my flowering tree in the front, but still. . Way not enough.
Did you know that in order to make a single pound of honey, honeybees have to gather the nectar from two-million flowers? As in 2 followed with bucco zeros much. And that’s been happening, just like that, for 150 years.
So if the species is suffering under our watch, maybe we have to ask some questions.
Your image is ironic as I took a couple of pics of dandelion heads in the past couple of days. Those seed heads are mesmerizing, aren’t they? Apparently butterflies and moths think so too.
I did too! I am particularly pissed at myself for being a tad too close with my phone because the angle was rather cool (on one of my run/walks) They really are mesmerizing and, having done the no-mow-may, I had a shit-ton of ’em π
As I was mowing them on Sunday, I felt so guilty as a bunch of blue butterflies started flittering away… sigh.
Awww! You take fabulous nature shots.
That butterfly is as downy as the dandelion.
And that little critter… If he lived with me I would hold him, and love him, and kiss him, and hug him, and call him George! β‘οΈπ₯
A morning chuckle is a good thing. Happy Wednesday!

Excellent. I mean look at that face! Picture’s crap because it’s through my dirty bedroom window, but still. π
Happy Wednesday to you!

I just had to share him. That face! Too bad it was through my dirty bedroom window. Woulda been clearer. π
And yeah, peace and love (and guilt when the next day I mowed down the lot. Butterflies flew up and around!)
Course not. I’m never political on my blog. Oh wait… This is YOURS… π

He probably does. It’s 2022.
This is good for my peace of mind when I’m out running, but it’s no bueno for the planet in the least.

I haven’t seen any. At all. I saw one a few weeks ago before it got cool again, but not a one since.

Jeez. I knew it was a lot but I didn’t realise that much.
No maybes about it. We must ask questions, listen to the answers and act.

Sadly. And the fact that I haven’t seen a blessed one to this point is science fiction meeting some kind of future horror, come early.
How novel an approach you proffer!

Dear Dale,
What an expression. Apparently he wasn’t ready for his close-up, Mr. DeMille. π Love these photos you capture with your magic lens.
Shalom and lotsa natural hugs,

Dear Rochelle,
It was priceless to see him chewing away, enjoying his dandelion snack, notice me, stop moving altogether, the hightail it under my deck!
The butterfly, however, barely stayed still!
So glad you enjoyed my friend.
Shalom and Lotsa expressive love,
Dale

He was chomping away until he spotted me looking at him. Stilled, then bolted π Too funny.

Haha! He’s a bit on the hefty side. This guy is a James Dean of the groundhogs who has taken up residence under my deck (I think).
