I call this Irish green, a favorite color of mine. The rain has turned all things here this color. You allow these leaves to show off, as if they’re now in their summer frocks preening for all to see.
This gallery could have served as album covers for Juice Newton.
I know rain is a pain in the ass when we’re attending sporting events or planning a picnic or running (but for me, only if it’s accompanied by thunder and lightning) but . . there is something so comforting about it. There are few things finer than being home on a Saturday afternoon with nowhere to go and nothing to do but watch a movie . . and it rains. It’s summer’s snow fall, peaceful and Zen. Without the shoveling nonsense.
Oh, and one of those finer things? Wordless Wednesdays. 😉
I love the rain, to be honest. Obviously, not when it hinders plans, but when it’s like you describe? The best. And I came thisclose to running this morning in it but the wind is rather fierce. I miss my old covered balcony which allowed me to sit outside when it rained. Now that was zen – without any shovelling nonsense.
How wonderful to be appreciated on these Wordless Wednesdays 😉
Me twice. I love it at night, it’s such a peaceful symphony when it comes to sleep. And running, I like it then too, to a point. But fierce winds ain’t a part of the package.
Oh yes. I love both the quiet, steady rain and the fierce thunderstorms. As for running in it – only when the temps are clement. None of this 40 degree stuff.

I can tell, 😉
More clement equals more running, ammI right?
I have my moments.

You would know.
Absolutely! And being well-rested helps, too.
More than a few.

Dear Rochelle,
That pleases me so, my friend. I was searching for what to share and at first thought these were ‘meh’ till I played with ’em a bit 😉

Lovely raindrops (or dew) on the leaves, Dale. Such a difficult shot and you did it proud.

Thank you, kind sir. Definitely raindrops in this case. I do love images with drops like this and am awful glad you do, too.
