Dale, we haven’t had a rainbow around these parts in quite a while, but we never stop looking for them. Thanks for the reminder of just how colorful they are.
It’s weird, Dale. We have had our fair share of rain, more than the rest of the US for sure. The atmosphere just hasn’t provided them much lately. Wish we could send some our rain to other folks who really need it bad.
Did you have Dorothy’s help with the first pic? Because it’s that whole “dreaming in Technicolor” thing we banter on about, in like . . real time. And rainbows, I do understand how they occur. I get all the science to the things just fine. But what if the higher power aced His science classes, that’s all I’m saying. You aced this capture, I know that.
As for the second pic, that sun peeking out of the clouds is like a beautiful scream, isn’t it? And umm . . why do I see the Phantom’s mask in the right part of the frame?
I tell ya… Sometimes, when we plan to go out to take pictures and it’s raining and then we happen to look up and it’s right there… Well.. You just have to accept the invitation!
And that was just the coolest thing ever. Did I see it in my camera lens when I took the pic? Nope. How cool is that? Just had to share 🙂
It’s like Mother Nature tapping you on the shoulder and saying “Come on girl, I got your daily regimen right here!”. And when she’s open for business like this? Well, you scored. Big time scored. As if it doesn’t happen ALL the time . . . 😉

Wow, a rainbow! Love it! great shot, Thunder. It’s a complete arc. It looks like a dome…. like a snow globe. I feel like shaking it to see if it rains… a rain globe.

Thank you, Sorceress! The skies were most generous between the drops of rain! I had to get on the roof to get the full arc and could only achieve it with my phone. I don’t have a wide lense for my camera. So pleased you like.
