Thank you, Sheree. Aside from the crunch of the ice sliding into the banks (too bad I cannot upload videos on Sorryless) it was utter silence. Until the bells started on the church right behind me!
Wasn’t it just perfect? I couldn’t wait to drop my mother off and hurry to the water’s edge in her town, knowing the perfect spot to park. I was gifted and had to share ๐
Good morning, Frank. Thank you. If only I could upload videos on Sorryless, you could see just how fast that ice was floating by. It made a crunching sound as it hit the banks. Hmmm… maybe I’ll share on my blog ๐
Happy Wednesday!
I came this way to checkout this weblog because Dale told me to, and now I see Dale is here! I believe she is everywhere. Still glad to meet you Sorry Less, I’m Ally, “hi!”
I did leave a comment on another post by Sorryless, but I thought he’d know who I was. I didn’t introduce myself there. Oh well, still happy for the recommendation.
Thank you, John. It’s funny how some find the sun brings warmth and you feel it brings out the cold. I love that! That’s what photography is all about for me…
Gorgeous shots. I am living Winter vicariously through these because we’ve had no snow at all, and no cold since Christmas. My view is if it doesn’t snow for Christmas just come back around next year and give it a shot then. Dale, would you mind keeping the snow up there this year? (It does look pretty…)
These captures are helping to warm up a cold and rainy day. Because you always seem to outdo yourself and this week’s gallery is definitely no exception.
I won’t pick a favorite- but the first one with the sun skimming off the water as the snow fence basks in the rays is pretty dang amazing if I say so myself. It’s got a movie poster/record album cover appeal to it. I could definitely see it on either one of those.
Bringing you some warmth to your rainy day makes me feel all warm. The light was was just so damn beautiful, I hurriedly dropped my mother off so I could make it to the water’s edge.
I like that one, too. Well… I do like them all ๐

It’s hard to choose a favourite but that last one with the snow clinging to the tree makes me think of my childhood. Happy memories.

Lovely, Dale. Somehow the sun makes the scene appear even colder. I don’t know how you did that.
