    • Dear Rochelle,

Thank you for the heads up. I wonder what the heck I did (or didn’t do)! She was just sitting there looking pretty, wasn’t she?

      Shalom and lotsa appreciative love,

      Dale

    • That is exactly why I chose it, Bruce 🙂 She was a beauty. I didn’t see any males. And I agree with you that they really pop in winter.
I almost shared a dark-eyed Junco, a couple of finches – red-headed and yellow, a downy woodpecker. But since I had shared birds two weeks ago, I held back 😉

  1. You don’t know what you’ll miss till it’s gone.

Love the Cardinal. A sign of warmer days…no socks…lolling on a bench in the park. Cardinals are the elite of birds, their red suits making me think of the guards at Buckingham Palace. You always woo one’s reverie Dale. Never fails.

Great shots. The first one makes me think of the prairies, which I adore. (except for winter).irdie!
Sigh, I’ve never seen a cardinal in real life. Thanks for the pic of this sweet birdie! ⚡️💥

Thank you, Sorceress. I love pampas grass (at least, I think that’s what it’s called!) So happy you enjoyed both pics. WHAT? You haven’t? That is so sad… You shall have to come and visit one day 🙂 🧚‍♀️🌟

  3. Wow! That first picture has been in my head for years. It’s something I have always wanted to paint but never did. To see it on your blog is inspiring. As is that beautiful fat bird!

It sure was woith the wait! Of course, I wasn’t sure either way since I just figured WP was playing games with my phone, which it has done many times in the past. If you hadn’t mentioned you posted late, I wouldn’t have known! 😉

All that matters is the end result. Which is perfect, as per.
