You must have thought: And I had to hold back my February post? For what? 😉
Happy Wednesday to you, Frank. It started bloody cold here, tell you what! It’s -13℉!
Yes. You must certainly see the images in the media file when you upload your post?
Yes. To think after Mick died, that January and February, Zeke and I went out almost every day… some days at -35℃! Now? I’m a wimp.
That is exactly why I chose it, Bruce 🙂 She was a beauty. I didn’t see any males. And I agree with you that they really pop in winter.
I almost shared a dark-eyed Junco, a couple of finches – red-headed and yellow, a downy woodpecker. But since I had shared birds two weeks ago, I held back 😉
I
She definitely does not look like winter has been rough on her 😉 Of course, there are fabulous people who make the birdhouses and keep them filled. It’s a wonderful tiny park.
Love the Cardinal. A sign of warmer days…no socks…lolling on a bench in the park. Cardinals are the elite of birds, their red suits making me think of the guards at Buckingham Palace. You always woo one’s reverie Dale. Never fails.
WWWellll! 😱 So you forgot to save?
😉 Big Deal! 😏
Great shots. The first one makes me think of the prairies, which I adore. (except for winter).irdie!
Sigh, I’ve never seen a cardinal in real life. Thanks for the pic of this sweet birdie! ⚡️💥
I guess so!! 😉
Thank you, Sorceress. I love pampas grass (at least, I think that’s what it’s called!) So happy you enjoyed both pics. WHAT? You haven’t? That is so sad… You shall have to come and visit one day 🙂 🧚♀️🌟
Wow! That first picture has been in my head for years. It’s something I have always wanted to paint but never did. To see it on your blog is inspiring. As is that beautiful fat bird!
It sure was woith the wait! Of course, I wasn’t sure either way since I just figured WP was playing games with my phone, which it has done many times in the past. If you hadn’t mentioned you posted late, I wouldn’t have known! 😉
All that matters is the end result. Which is perfect, as per.
Dear Dale,
As always the pictures are worth the wait. I love Mrs. Cardinal.
Shalom and lotsa fine feathered hugs,
Rochelle

Dear Rochelle,
Thank you for the heads up. I wonder what the heck I did (or didn’t do)! She was just sitting there looking pretty, wasn’t she?
Shalom and lotsa appreciative love,
Dale

Thank you, Monika. I had a bunch of bird pics from that same day and changed my mind, since I gave you birds two weeks ago 😉
So glad you like 🙂

Dale, the top photo is a bit of “light” in an otherwise gray day…and I love cardinal photos from any point in time, but especially in the winter time.

No kidding! I wish I knew what the hell I did when scheduling it last night (probably forgot to save, is what…)
She is a beauty. Wonder where her beau was? Never saw him the whole time I was there. So glad I woo your reverie, Susannah.
