Okay, call me crazy (Because I don’t know anyone at this point who doesn’t call me crazy, in one form of the word or other). but you’ve not only produced yet another winning capture, but you’ve also wrangled up (there’s that word again) the four seasons while doing it. Winter, check. Spring and summer? Check. Fall . . . check!
This is called a Buy One Get Four deal, and it’s happening ahead of the Black Friday madness. So when it comes to timing, yours is impeccable.
Just like your magical ability to produce captures such as this one.
Crazy in an endearing way, for sure. If only I had returned to capture the snow that fell the next day! Then can you imagine? Still. I’m so glad you’ve caught the wrangling of the seasons into a family pic!
Love that! Buy one, get four!
Thank you. I thought their fading beauty should be shared.
It’s so four seasons from my vantage point, here on my recliner as I sip at my java and get ready to head back out to the grocery store for one more last minute run. And then sleep . . blessed sleep!
It is four seasons sans snow (like many areas – you, for one get a lot less than we do). And I hope you’ve enjoyed your java, are already shopping so that you’ll be drifting off to sweet blessed sleep-land in no time!
The two fo you have a Nick and Nora Charles thing goin’ on. Zeke could be Asta, the dog, though he’d make 6 of him. Hey, we work with what we got. Hammett would approve. 🙂
Hahaha!
Well, Zeke was never rude enough to even jump on people. Always been a gentleman though he will stick his head between your arm and torso when he wants TLC
Wonderful capture of the season. It’s like the final breath before packing it in for the winter – followed by the renewal. But oh no … now covered in snow!
Thank you, Frank. So glad you like it. I have a version I took a couple of years ago. So pretty with the little bit of snow. I might just pass by to capture it again 😉
I just trudged through a light snowstorm to get to work. The season has changed here! I’m going to go see if I can capture a snow-covered version.
Thank you – it is a sort of sad beauty.
Thank you, John. I went by on my walk with Zeke after my walk home (I am going to get into great shape if I keep this up!) and took some night shots with the snow on them… Will try again tomorrow morning, methinks.
Roses are my favorite flowers, pink in particular. They’re classic and hardy, that’s what I see when I look at yours. They’re hangin’ on, like we are. I see your frame of mind, in the frame. It’s very poignant Dale. sigh
Thank you so much, Susannah. I loved that they are faded but still beautiful, still giving a shot of colour in an otherwise drab surrounding. The frame is very important.
Roses at the end of November?? Whoa. Well done. We just got 8″ of a white blanket Monday, no more blooms here. But happy to have received the moisture (and it was quite the wet blanket!).
Yes! Crazy, eh? I walked to work in the snow this morning and it snowed alllll day. The walk back was a little more slippery. I stopped by to capture them with the snow on top but nighttime photo is not as nice.
It was so beautiful walking through it (Norman would beg an exception on that-he’s no fan of the white stuff). Elsa and thoroughly enjoyed it. This morning’s walk after night time freezing was not nearly as much fun plowing through powder but fortunately managed to stay upright the whole 3 miles. 👍🏻
I like that – a sense of resilience. I just might share it this week (with the snow) it’s a different kind of pretty. It’s been very mild since. I’ll also have to go see what they look like now!
Dear Dale,
Ah the last roses before surrendering to winter. Well captured.
Shalom and lotsa fragrant hugs,
Rochelle

Dear Rochelle,
I thought they had a faded beauty to them. I kind of wish I had passed by them again after the snow we had. Might have added a layer 😊
Shalom and Lotsa late-blooming love,
Dale

Asta jumps on their laps a lot, so, maybe one of those back straps construction workers use might be in order. 🙂

Yes, I am. And it’s been great to walk there and back two days in a row. Tomorrow calling for rain, so not too sure about that.
