I’m in love. Look at them. Like a little cavalry on the move. There’s an actual turtle pond in Central Park where, on a sunny day, you’ll see dozens all sunbathing as if it were Miami. Turtles on the rocks, if you will.
I think this is one of your very best. Put it on Instagram as well. The blue of their shells with cheer all who see them. Susannah
Aren’t they great? I love how they’re all lined up, their heads in the air, on alert. I was so happy when a couple let me know they were there as I would have missed them. I was also glad I had a zoom lens as I just couldn’t get closer.
There are a few places a walk where I always look for turtles out on a log. Thanks for the reminds. Good Morning and Happy Wednesday, Dale. Make the best of the day.
i cannot think of every having seen turtles on a log! Actually… I never see turtles at all so I was doubly chuffed.
Apologies on missing this comment, Frank. I am glad I always come back to posts to make sure I don’t miss comments because the notification panel often cuts off before I see everything!
So… happy Saturday!
Right? Mama must’ve worked hard! I was so thrilled to be directed to them. Wish I was a tad closer by glad my zoom didn’t make them too fuzzy! Glad you like, Pam.
And the most impressive part . . the turtles were not compensated for their synchronicity in this shot. It was ALL improvised, from the formation to the photog who captured the shot . . and I’m not sure you could have gotten that shot if you tried!
This is the Abbey Road for those who live in a shell.
Now hang on there… who says they weren’t? They might’ve been by someone other than me as I could not come close to them without wading in the who-knows-how-deep water 😉
Let’s just say I was rather chuffed that someone told me they were there because that log is probably not one I would have noticed!
I was so happy when a couple directed me to them. I never would have seen them otherwise as you had to go into a little sort of “bay” of a tiny pond and lean forward and look to the right!
Aren’t they adorable?
great!

I look for turtles in certain places. No problems … missing comments happens.

I love the reflection! How perfect they are all lined up according to size. Mama turtle must’ve had a hell of a time getting that done!

It really is kind of remarkable, that formation. I know, I know, they’re just having a respite, but still . . .
Chuffed you say?
Glad you got the 411 on this log because the image is fantastic.
YEAH!
